Cannibal crochet and Kraft

Cannibal crochet and Kraft
I recently bought a crochet book from Etsy seller ichigonopantsu, and have been breaking my brain trying to learn to crochet the gorgeous motifs in Japanese. Thank goodness there are internet tutorials for backup.

My technique leaves a lot to be desired, and right now I’m cannibalising each finished motif, slowly undoing it as I try the next one.

But all is not lost! Tomorrow at the Book Lounge in Roeland Street we have Kraft! At 2:30! Please come. You can watch me picking Jesse’s crochet brains.

Don’t underestimate the Magic Of Blocking – crochet always looks as if it’s been mauled until you’ve wet it.

ooooooo those are so beautiful; now I’m just itching to get my hands on that book. I’m rapidly developing an addiction to stitch dictionaries. I would so love to come to Kraft tomorrow but I have a baby shower at 3 :-( .. will have to wait for next time.

I know about you and your site because you blogged me once, because of my Icelandic sister-in-law :-) )Then sponge-design contacted me lately and there I found you again! Nice site and congratulations with the recognition. I have one little critic though: When clicking on a link, we leave the blog instead of opening a new window. Can you fix that? Cible “blank” could be useful.

Thanks for the idea, Helene. I’ve been teaching myself bits of html and am starting to get my links to open in a new page. Nice to hear from you again!
