From Heath Ceramics
Not so long ago, I made some designs for the fabulous Heath Ceramics in Sausalito, and last week I got to see the bag design in the flesh! I’m really happy with how they turned out, and apparently, they’re selling like hotcakes.

In part-payment for my design, the lovely people at Heath had agreed to pay with some of their products, which is so much more fun than just boring old money! The distance and shipping would normally mean I’d never end up with two big boxes of things from Heath Ceramics on my doorstep, but that’s exactly what happened last week.

I was so excited, I didn’t open them for hours!

Anyway, let’s see what I found inside…
A pitcher! We’ve been using it for milk, and not only is it pretty, it’s a good pourer too.
A pouring bowl! It’s so cute. Currently, it’s just holding cherry tomatos, but I will pour something with it soon.
And four stack mugs with saucers. Two of these made their way to a dear friend as a housewarming gift at the weekend, and the others have been perfect hot chocolate mugs.
So now Heath Ceramics features in daily life around here, heavily featured as I stroll about with my tote, sip hot chocolate, and occasionally just stop off in the kitchen to stroke them a bit.
Oh, and the other cool thing in the boxes was this brilliantly effective and completely recyclable packaging material called ExpandOS.

The triangular structure and little serrations result in a very lightweight, but quite firmly-packed matrix that supported the ceramics without any need for bubble wrap or anything else.

Most impressed. I’m saving all my ExpandOS for future use.
