Making room for Kamers

Making room for Kamers
Next Monday I’ll be delivering boxes of my things to a rather demandingly enormous market known as Kamersvol Geskenke, so this week is all about printing boxes for mugs, stamping labels for tea towels, aprons, cushions, decals, etc (as well as meeting numerous illustration deadlines. Help!)

So it’s serious factory stuff chez Studio Skinny right now! Thank goodness I found Dom to help me out, and we got some excellent screenprinting work done yesterday.

I love my boxes! They’ll be stuffed with paper straw, and will have one of my mugs nestling inside.

Well you should love them! Cause they’re just so cool… You could also sell the boxes without content, they’re gorgeous enough by themselves. I coul most definitely use them for some beautiful storage!

Good grief… this is incredible. What a lot of extra work — designing packaging. One mug per box! You are treating your mugs stylishly. But however can you turn a profit? Still, can imagine how much more appealing it is to consumers to get a perfectly presented box like this. Do you just factor all the extra costs in? And thanks goodness for the assistant; looks to me like you will be hiring half of Cape Town soon enough. Good luck for the market.

how you manage your time is what amazes me as no.1 on what amazes me about ‘the machine that is skinny’ list! love the boxes and have been telling everyone about your mugs…the audience was captive!!!! p.s. luca still wears the scraps of your fabric as though they were sacred….a tad odd, but imaginative nonetheless!
