At the end of the rainbow we found…

… a starling!

Not many people think starlings are treasures, but we’ve been enjoying watching this little guy and his mate build a nest, and now finally sit on it. And they sing so sweetly.

  • Oh, my gosh! I love this picture. Watching birds in your own yard is amazing. We love to see who shows up in ours and what they’re doing.

  • I much rather a starling than a pot of gold… at least visually:) Neat photo:) Cape town seems to be rich in rainbows…

Rich in rainbows! That does sound good. This was an amazing one – you could see the entire bow from one horizon to the next. What a wonderful phenomenon!

  • What an amazing photo!
Starlings are beautiful, their feathers are like rainbows themselves. I just wish they weren’t so destructive. They are not native to my area and, like so many “introduced” things, they have taken over…
Hope all is well with you Heather. :)
