It’s been searingly, drippingly hot lately, which is certainly accelerating the feeling that a holiday is just around the corner. Can’t wait!
I’ve got a brother in town from Aussie who I haven’t seen for 6 years, and his lovely family too, another brother and his bunch down from Joburg, and suddenly all the things we have to keep on the boil around here seem a little less urgent. I’m sure they can simmer on their own for a bit while we take a bit of a break*.
*We’ll be closing up shop on 24 December, and re-opening on 3 Jan.
How I wish we had such glorious weather for the holidays, you can take our endless rain and never-ending grey skies in exchange!
