    Shop Revamp

    In the Shop: Blues News

    21 Oct 2013

I spent much of last week poring over paint swatches, debating the different methods of different blues, photographing blue things wherever I saw them, and frankly saturating my retinas in deep blues while I pondered changing a large wall in my shop from a greeny-black to a bluey-black. Subtle, but essential!

My painter Shepherd and I spent Sunday in the shop, painting the blues, which means our shop starts the new week having had a mini facelift. Take a look:

And talking of revamps, I’ve also revamped my mailing list, fixing the RSS feed, and segmenting it so you can choose whether to get weekly blog updates, or newsletters, or Etsy news.

Dig it! Blue and yellow are a fantastic combo, rescued from the clutches of 80’s English kitchens (Jilly Cooper’s kitchens were always B&Y in her novels – I read them as a teen, no judging thank you very much).
I have a bathroom in progress in the same colours …

Come on Molly, a new blog is begging to be written: Interiors and colour schemes inspired by trashy novels of the 80s. Love it! xx

Looks beautiful! Such a perfect blue. I love your shelving in the second shop photo and the zig-zag hooks – can you share where they’re from?

Beautiful! It reminds me of my college art gallery where they would change out the wall colors to fit an exhibition–changing the vibe and focus for the viewers. Very fitting since your shop feels like a smaller scale (beautiful) art gallery. Cheers, Kate
