Skinny goes to Europe

Did I mention what’s happening next? Skinny goes to Europe for a big fat 22 days!

Here’s what’s on the cards:

18-29 June

I’ve got 11 whole days in Lisbon, where I’ll be in a patterned-out haze with the Ace Camps group, learning and teaching all about azulejos, and taking frequent breaks to pop yet another pasteis de nata in the old cake hole.

29 June – 8 July

After 10 days in Lisbon, I’ll head off to Amsterdam, to meet up with Marian Counihan, our European distributor. I’m really looking forward to spending time with her and getting to visit our stores in the Netherlands, meeting the press and that kind of thing.

While in the Netherlands, I’ll be doing a block printing workshop at Urlaub in Utrecht too. Find out more about that here.

5 July

A big highlight of the trip will be my day outing to the Vitra Museum in Basel to see the Alexander Girard retrospective. I’m beyond excited, and have already been browsing the Vitra gift store online, plotting my souvenir shopping.

8-10 July

I’ve never been to Berlin before, so am super excited about the three days I’ll have there to visit our stockists in that city, and to do an event with The District Six store too.

It’s not going to be enough time to see all the things I want to see, but eventually I’ll be missing my bloke and my kitties and everyone at Skinny laMinx soooo much, I’ll be dying to get my feet back on solid ground in Cape Town.

While I’m away, I will probably not be blogging much, as it’s all quite busy, but am sure to be busy on the Instagram, so follow me there to keep an eye on what’s up on my travels, and stay in touch with what’s hot in the shop via the Skinny laMinx Facebook page too.
