Some things you might like to know.

Skinny laMinx started in 2008 when Heather Moore could no longer contain her enthusiasm for pattern​ and colour. She began designing and hand printing ​products in a small studio, and gave the business the nickname of her skinny little Siamese cat Monkey.

How we make things

All our products are professionally screenprinted in South Africa on natural fibre fabrics, and stitched by our seamstress team in the studio above our shop.

We choose to screenprint with waterbased inks on natural fibre fabrics, and we make sure our prints, stitches and zips are of top quality, because we believe that beautiful things should be made to last.

After all, we hope Skinny laMinx becomes part of the fabric of your life.

Fabric care

We use a natural fibre base cloth, which has natural colour variations. The fabric is screen-printed with pigment inks, which may fade over time, or in harsh sunlight.

We recommend turning the cushion covers inside out. Cold water wash, mild detergent. Line dry, do not tumble dry or dry clean.

Possible shrinkage: 5%

Your purchase will arrive beautifully wrapped in tissue and twine, ready to be given as a gift to someone special… or just to yourself!

International shipping

All orders are shipped from South Africa through our international shipping partner FedEx. We offer a flat rate for international shipping, and delivery will take 2-3 business days, excluding Public Holidays.

NOTE: Many countries add extra import taxes and VAT to incoming packages from foreign companies. It is up to you, the customer, to know about and to pay for the shipping taxes in your own country. Skinny laMinx is not responsible for any additional costs accrued from custom taxation or abandoned packages. International vendors must agree to these terms when placing orders.

Missing goods

If an order doesn’t arrive with the buyer within 30 working days of sending (barring extraordinary delays due to postage strikes, extreme weather or political events), we will re-send a replacement, but this will happen one time only. After that, it’s a loss for both of us, and we’ll just have to jointly curse the post office.

Returns & refunds

If you change your mind about your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of the purchase date. If it is still in the condition in which we sent it, we’ll give you a refund on your purchase. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.

NB: Before returning an item, please email us to let us know what you plan to do.

Damaged goods

If the item you received is damaged, or somehow unsatisfactory, please get in touch with a clear photograph of the problem. Any damaged goods supplied by us will be replaced.
