I went to Milnerton Market on Sunday, supposedly to buy plants, but it just so happened to be particularly good pickings this weekend, and, having just read David Southwood’s Milnerton Market book, I couldn’t possibly make it a simple in-out operation. So lots of treasure hunting was done, and lots of pics were snapped on …

Utterly spoiled
My bloke spoiled me rotten this Christmas by giving me this gorgeous amber pendant on a dip-dyed silver chain, from Cape Town jeweller Steffany Roup… and then I couldn’t stop myself, adding Steffany’s weighty Geode ring to my finger too. So it’s official now: I’m utterly ruined, and very shiny, to boot.

Seeking on the Working Proof
I’ve been an admirer of the work put out by The Working Proof for so long, enjoying both the prints they sell, and the socially responsible angle of the business too, where a portion of each sale is donated to a charity of the artist’s choice. That’s why I’m particularly thrilled to have released a …

Dismayed, but grateful

More pattern hunting
A Saturday morning spent prowling around the Sea Point CAFDA bagged me another beautiful book cover for my growing book cover collection… … and two others which, although not in the genre of my collection, couldn’t be resisted. I like it that they’re both ocean-related, and fit so well together stylistically. I’m often disappointed when …

Tone
Ever since we returned from NYC in June last year, Paul‘s been hard at work preparing for his show Tone, opening this Thursday at the newly re-dubbed Stevenson Gallery (previously Michael Stevenson). I never use that word ‘humbling’, as I’m not really sure what people mean by it, but I kind of feel like using …
