    Stockists: Common Thread Studio

    23 Sep 2009

    Stockists: Common Thread Studio
It’s so exciting when I see images of places where my things are being sold. One of my recent stockists is the Common Thread Studio shop (see my things in the shop above, and more pics here).

But I had no idea until I visited their brand new website yesterday, that Common Thread Studio is so much more than just a cute store. What a great place, where you can learn how to sew, learn fashion illustration or how to screenprint. They have a monthly calendar with all their classes, and I would be signing up in a trice, were it not for the fact that they’re in South Pasedena, California. Hmm, maybe it’s time for something similar in Cape Town?

Looks great. And if I'm not mistaken, that is an Ikea display solution they have… It is very clever.

I had to look up the word trice! And I still don't know how it's pronounced. Triss…try-s? Funny I've been speaking english my whole life and I'm still learning new words.I love your work and have been reading your posts. I saw you've sold at Lillstreet in Chicago, which is in my neck of the woods. Cheerio!

What a fun looking centre– I wish I'd have known about their shop when I was living in Pasadena. I wonder if they've moved in recently? The shops of South Pasadena were under some threat from major chains moving into the area, so I'm glad to see that some spaces are maintaining the area's indie charm. -X
