    A fatal error

    19 Oct 2009

    A fatal error
My a week taken out from the world of emailing, blogging, tweeting, and all that stuff I so enjoy has been a simultaneous success and dreadful mistake. The problem is, I’ve so enjoyed a week of simple focus – mostly cutting lots of little popups, just for fun – that the idea of returning to my scattershot tapdance of a life is a bit dreadful. This brief change has made me think that the helterskelter activity of my days might actually be pretty inefficient.

Hmm. Maybe what I need is another week out to work on efficiency strategies…

it's good to remember what life away from the "helterskelter" is like. and sometimes, it's a lot more efficient to put that aside. good luck figuring that out though!

Lovely cutouts, and great photos of them too! Perhaps a solution would be do life in batches – one week on, one week off….

Gosh I love those paper cuts. You might find that what you've enjoyed is the change and after more time focussed you'll crave the mixture again. Just do what makes you happiest 🙂

Oh my! Look what your silence made! They are simply beautiful. I recently took a week off from online 'living' – it made a huge impact on me as I realised just how much cyber stuff I do that isn't really necessary. I love living away from the computer a little more now 🙂

Hmmm – it is a bind – maybe have "Helterskelter Thursdays" (or whatever day) and the rest of the week timing out and focussing?? Great cut-outs! Good luck.

it's always nice to take some time off from the computer and focus entirely on creative work. The Internet is great but a big drain of time and energy.Really great work on the paper work

Beautiful work, but I sympathise with the dilemma. I got back from a week in Portugal lately and still am finding it hard getting back into blogging. A whole week without even checking emails was bliss, alas I am under the digital thumb again… good luck with whatever you decide to do!
