Cat’s out!
Michelle Benskco of Cloud9 Fabrics is at the Quilt Fair, and I’m so happy that she’s popped the cork on a big secret I’ve been holding onto.
Over the weekend, in a flurry of tweets, Michelle told (almost) all about the Cloud9 Designer Series she announced last month. The Designer Series has been really well received at the Quilts show, and Cloud9 has started taking orders already, which must be what prompted Michelle to reveal the names of the first three designers in the Cloud9 Designer Series: It’s an international bunch, with Julia Rothman from NYC, Gennine from Mexico, and moi from South Africa. No pics of the actual fabrics yet, and I’ll leave that to Michelle to blog about when she returns from the Quilts show. I just wanted to say how excited I’ve been by this opportunity to design for a whole new market, to find my work lined up along such superstars like Julia and Geninne, and most of all, to have got to work with the awesome Michelle Engel Benskco and Cloud9 Fabrics.
