    Hot Monkey On Chair

    Lessons from a Monkey

    16 Feb 2014

What a hot weekend! Early morning dips in the sea and Myyög have helped us survive, but mostly we’ve stayed indoors, watching and learning from the Monkey, who is an expert in the art of minimal movement.

She knows exactly how to lie in a boneless heap for hours, occasionally making token signs of life when she flops in a new direction. I’ve been reading nearby while she showed off her mad napping skills, so I was able to document her rare teachings for this little animation below. (note: at least 20 minutes elapsed between each movement, and she’s actually still there now! What a pro.)

I absolutely love this! Now, can Monkey give us any tips on staying warm for us stuck in the deep freeze 😉

Monkey sez: “Cuddle up with the big brown cat when you’re chilly. That’s what I do!”
        Hope that helps 🙂

I like these pictures. They say to me: Do more things that make you happy…! Yes.

So cute! It has been unseasonably warm here in Southern California, and so my cat has been up to some similar antics… The toughest part of working from my home studio is resisting the urge to take a nap with the cat every afternoon 😉
