Making Friday: collection
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll have no doubt have heard me banging on about what I made on Making Friday. In case you don’t know about it though, that’s the studio day I try to put aside for non-essential (but very essential) unstructured creative work. (Read more about the Making Friday idea).
Skinny laMinx started out a million years ago as a means for me to show what I’ve been making in my studio, and possibly even to sell it, but these days, I mostly sell things that have long production goals in mind. But still, I actually make things I’d like to sell that are one-off, non-standard designs, and so we’ve decided to change the DIY Supplies section of the online shop into the MAKING FRIDAY section.
MAKING FRIDAY is where you’ll be able to buy fabric to make things yourself (we have DIY Square Packs, Fat Quarters, and more), as well as one-off things made/drawn/printed in the studio… just for fun!
The first new thing we have in the MAKING FRIDAY section is a selection of super-crazy Skinny laMinx fabric combinations made up into Mixed Up zip purses and bags. Aren’t they too crazy cute? They close with our colourful, chunky YKK zips and are lined in a complimentary fabric.
If you like them, hurry to make your purchase, as they’re really limited in numbers. And sign up for the newsletter, as that’s where we’ll let you know about what’s new and rare in our MAKING FRIDAY store.
