Out & About: Matjiesfontein

Last weekend was simply the best holiday for a while, and largely because it came as such a surprise! I was very excited about our friend Marian’s birthday party , to be held at the Lord Milner Hotel in Matjiesfontein. The tiny little historical town is in the Karoo, about 2.5 hours up the N1 from Cape Town, but it’s been years since I stopped in there, and I really had no idea the hotel would be such a wonderful place. It’s the perfect spot for a Wes Anderson-themed party!
