The Sampler
Ever since my first Jaipur trip, I’ve been having so much fun creating new Dupatta scarf designs, which our friendly team of block printers in Bagru village, Rajasthan, continue to hand print for us, using natural dyes. And now it’s time for my latest design, which I’ve called ‘The Sampler’.
It’s called The Sampler, because it’s inspired by my printing frenzy on my last visit to Bagru, taking sample prints of all the different blocks (read the story here).
A word of thanks to our printers, who really pushed the boat out on this one. Block printed scarves are usually much more repetitive in pattern and execution, and this design required over 8 blocks to make! I’m so delighted that our printers were willing to work so hard on it, because I really think it’s rather special.
Due to the complexity of the design, we have very limited quantities of The Sampler, and with Christmas just around the corner we expect them to fly out the door, so grab one fast before they’re gone!
