You’ve heard us banging on about how quick and affordable it is to FedEx our goods from Cape Town to the rest of the world, and here’s proof!
We contacted New York City food writer Marie Viljoen of 66 Square Feet fame and asked her if she’d be our guinea pig, as we knew her to be a Skinny laMinx fan, and then on Monday morning this week, the experiment was put into action. This is how it played out:
MON 18 NOV, 2PM : We address a box of goodies to Marie in New York City and hand it to FedEx.
FedEx hurls the box across the planet, from Cape Town to New York City
WED 20 NOV, 2PM : A FedEx delivery guy arrives at Marie’s address in New York City, parcel in hand.
Marie says: ‘ On Monday a Skinny laMinx package left Cape Town on a test run. On Wednesday morning it was at our Brooklyn door. Thanks to a very sweet new deal with @fedex shipping from Cape Town to the States is now a whole lot cheaper: $15. “
