Monkeys world tour!

Travelling in the mind really has become a theme of the Skinny laMinx lockdown period. Just look at the adventures one of our parcels destined for Australia took… in the mind of one of our favourite Aussie customer, Rebecca

Her FedEx package was among the last to leave Cape Town on the day before lockdown, and it took a really long time to arrive in Australia. But instead of a letter of complaint, just look at what she sent us:

Dear Skinny laMinx

Heather’s Curiosity Challenge reminded me of something I’ve been meaning to do. The route of my last package put an idea on my head. It doesn’t follow the brief…but I did it anyway.

Covid-19 has made for some interesting logistics issues for FedEx. Normally a package coming to me in Oz would go Cape Town to London to me.

Well this last package had two cheeky monkeys on board who had their own ideas:   

First the package went to London as expected. But then they took it on a detour to Paris. Who could blame them?

Springtime in Paris to drink red wine and smoke filterless Gauloises.

Cheeky Monkeys.

After quite some time they decided to go to Memphis and headed straight down to Beale street to listen to the blues and drink bourbon.

Irresponsible Monkeys!

After several days they were finally kicked out of Tennessee. So they decided to go to Honolulu where they were seen stealing a ukulele.

Naughty Monkeys!

Being there was a witness, they decided to high-tail it to their final destination.

Just as well I’m not on social media. They were not on their best behaviour. But they are good as gold now and ready to go to their intended recipients.

Thanks for the one-off indulgence. I promise this is a one-off.
