This year, for Cape Town Furniture week we teamed up with our friends at Wunders who invited us to refresh some of their classic furniture with our prints.
Wunders is a family business that has been making furniture in Cape Town for over 40 years. Under the guidance of the third generation of the Wunders family, they’re as committed as ever to local manufacture and world-class standards.
A beautifully-made product tells one story, but the route to achieving it is another: These days, awareness of how a business impacts its people and the environment is crucial, and Wunders does not disappoint in this regard.
When you visit the airy, friendly Wunders factory, alongside the well-run manufacturing line, you’ll also find the Makespace – an entire unit committed to dealing with manufacturing waste, with social entrepreneur Heath Nash at the helm.
It’s so inspiring to see a business baking their deeply-held values into their day-to-day operations.
