Happy Birthday to Me!
This blogging and tweeting thing sometimes has me confused about which bits of my life are private and which are public. For some reason, even though I was throwing a big party, I felt that my birthday this weekend was not really blog fodder. Perhaps it was because it was my 40th (it’s ok, I’m SO over being young anyway), or perhaps it’s as simple as I just didn’t have a minute to spare in last week’s madness. Whatever the reason, the late, late news is that I turned 40 on Saturday, and felt completely fabulous doing so in my vintage green silk dress, beehive hairdo and high, high Swedish Hasbeen clogs.
I didn’t take photos, but funnily enough, this illustration I did for ELLE magazine‘s end of year Mademoiselle page is pretty much how I looked on Friday night. Minus the tan.
