Heading in a Pink direction
Pink. It’s a colour I don’t really do it at all, and never have. Possibly, it’s having been the only girl with three brothers that innoculated me to its feminine joys early on, but I must admit that lately, pink teamed with greys and blacks keeps catching my eye, and if I’m not careful, I might start to find myself convinced.
And, of course, the clincher might be spotting my Flower Fields cushion in Rosy making a pink POP! in the black/white/grey living room makeover of one of my long-time fave bloggers, Victoria of SFgirlbybay (more pics of her beautiful home here).
PS: I’ve started working on a fun pink and black project in my studio and hope to have a hardworking Making Friday tomorrow, and I’ll be able to share the results soon.

A seasoned mother once warned me that if I tried to resist The Pink Phase with my daughters it would just come around later. The Pink Phase will not be denied, you seem to be proving this theory.
Frieda LOVES that pink cushion 🙂

Heather, I was exactly like you: the only girl between 3 brothers – there was no chance of anything pink then. Then I got married and had 2 sons of my own – again no pink. And I never missed it, I thought I was not a girly-girl, but then I had a laatlammetjie daughter, now 3yrs old, and how I love being pink with her! I thought it was completely against my character, but I really enjoy it – it makes everything softer and more playful. Even the men in the house like it. Enjoy your pink phase!

I’ll do my best! Your pink phase sounds delightful. xx

I too, never really liked pink that much. Until I had the first girl. People give you pink stuff and then you find yourself buying pink stuff… and then, just when you think it’s over… you have another girl. I’ve given up, I even wear pink myself thesedays, and with the little girly-girly I have, I suspect the pink in our house will stop only when she’s moved out. Which she’ll only be allowed to do when she’s 40….;-)
