    What colour’s your money?

    21 Jun 2010

Loved New York, but jeez guys, how do you pay for things in a hurry when one piece of green money is difficult to distinguish from another?  That’s not a problem we have in South Africa, because lucky for us, we have nice colourful money with animals on it.

But whatever colour your money, it’s great for buying one of the purses I uncovered in a major studio tidy up, made in a purse-sewing frenzy in April. They’re now listed in my Etsy shop.

Wild is right! It’s great to take a step back from our money and see how cool it actually looks. xx

I totally agree! My wallet felt so full all the time – but they were all one dollar bills 🙁 Not a good thing when in New York. Your work is just so lovely!!

We do have semi colorful money, the mint is slowly transitioning our currency into different colors but I think the problem is they are leaving the old “green” in circulation.

And I love how your money has animals on it, as you saw ours has a bunch of dead guys on it, not too exciting I tell you.

And of course those pouches are awesome and cute! I love them!

Dead guys on your money! That cracked me up. I think they’re alive in the portraits (at least, I hope so!) xx

Love this post! Must say, our money is really pretty and colourful. Here in the UK, we have an old granny who lives in a castle on it.

ugh… american money is sooooo ugly. don’t get me started! anything has to be better than a bunch of old white guys and an ugly shade of green. i also hope that dollar coins replace the bills and that each denomination becomes a different size.
