A new lease on Space for Life

Space for Life, as you’ll know if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, is the go-to Cape Town store for fans of mid-Century Nordic furniture, ceramics and glassware. Everything is brought in from Denmark, and then painstakingly restored. I’m a big fan, but the last time I tried to visit their Foreshore store, I saw that it was closed, and word was that they’d moved.

Last week, I finally tracked them down to Howes St., in Observatory, and spent ages wandering through their warehouse of treasures, and coming home with a beautiful vase and a set of copper pots and pans. My kind of heaven.
