Colour names like Turmeric, Hickory, Black Plum and Bluejay can’t help but evoke images of cosy interiors and bracing air, which is what I find so exciting about the first hints of Winter in Cape Town.
These evocative colour names are from our favourite San Francisco brand Heath Ceramics who used them in their campaign for the Heath Winter Seasonal collection in 2018. Clearly we’re a bit late to their Winter party, but we’re way ahead of the pack in the Southern Hemisphere!
Top of my shopping list would be the Heath Multi-Stem Vase in Quarry. Just look at that beautiful glaze technique! And if you’re at all into ceramics, you might like to find out exactly how they did it, via the Heath Journal.
We love seeing how other people put our palette together in new ways, and Heath is brilliant at this. In this case, I love the way they matched our table runners and napkins in Woodpile Cocoa, Pebble Pollen and Pincushion Wedgewood to the Wintery palette. You’ll see in the pics below how our napkins are a perfect match for their Plaza Tray Set in tones of turmeric, bluejay and plum.
