My mom’s sunshine

This is Old Sol, made by my clever, talented mom after a visit to Bath in the UK, where she saw a paving stone that had been lifted during roadworks, revealing a carved Roman sun on the underside.

Old Sol lived on the outside wall of our 70s childhood home in Johannesburg, and still hangs there today. Thanks for the sunny childhood, mom!
