Packaging nerds unite
I think I can officially be known as a packaging nerd. It was in 2008 that I received a couple of boxes from Heath Ceramics and three years on, I’ll still witter endlessly about the virtues of the Expandos that cradled my goods so expertly (read my old blog post about it).
Today’s rhapsodising about packaging is just for the sheer loveliness of the design of this corrugated cardboard widget that Paul found supporting the ends of a roll of paper he ordered. I’ve photographed it in various degrees of foldedness for other packaging nerds to enjoy. The rest of you may snigger at us behind your hands.

That is so cool!

I did this craft project for Irene where I casted the negative spaces of styrofoam packaging – it was an ode to rachel whiteread’s work.

love it! i always take apart packaging to see how they mapped it out. always impresses me. and makes me think there is no need for molded styrofoam when you cut, fold and tab cardboard any which way!
