A seaside garland

We went for a walk on Noordhoek Beach on Boxing Day, when the spring tides were up and the entire wide, wide beach was covered in water, moving from the breakers to the lagoon. Lots of sea vegetables had washed up, including this long piece of seaweed with a knot in it. I thought it made a perfect seaside Christmas garland.
