Celebrating 10 years on Bree Street

It was 10 years ago, round about now, that I found out that my old studio on Buitengraght Street was to be demolished. I had to find a new place to work in… fast!

I found a greasy little scooter repair shop on Bree Street, signed the lease, and got cracking on opening the first ever Skinny laMinx store & studio.

One mad year later, we celebrated our first birthday by telling the story of the shop’s beginnings in a little stop motion movie:

Now, all of a sudden, we’ve been on Bree Street for a decade!

During that time, we’ve been through a lot. Also, we take up more space – including the whole top floor above the shop!

But at heart, we’re the same studio-led design biz we were a decade ago, mad about pattern and colour, and determined to have a good day every day.
