Launching: Block Printed Scarves
Join us in our shop tonight as we launch our exciting collection of hand-blocked cotton scarves, which I designed after my teaching trip to Jaipur with Ritchie Ace Camps last October. Each scarf has been block printed by hand in a small printing house in Bagru village, just outside Jaipur, using vegetable dyes and printed onto fine cotton dupatta scarf fabric.
And here they are!
Named Geo Ochre, Ferrous Lily and Madder Dot, for their natural dye colouring.
Ferrous Lily is printed with a black dye, made from old horseshoes.
Geo Ochre may well have my Autumn wardrobe built around it.
I’m particularly fond of the Madder Dot design, as this is the very pattern I printed myself while visiting the printers in Bagru in October.
Read about the inspiration behind this collection right here.
If we don’t see you in our Cape Town shop, you can still get your hands on one of these, by shopping online.
