A good hair day
I’ve been commissioned to make a couple of lampshades with very liney drawings on them for a shoot, so I’m thinking about lines a lot at the moment. Here’s one thought. A while back, while browsing on designersblock, I found this amazing work by Melanie Bilenker .
Inspired by the Victorians who made lockets of hair, Melanie creates jewellery with images rendered in lines made with hairs from her own head. Described, it sounds a bit gruesome, but in reality it’s so lovely. How does she do it? See more here.
