    Beyond the call of duty

    28 Sep 2007

This post is a much-deserved advert for the wonderful work of Elisabeth Scott and her ES Designs Etsy shop. I hope everyone who reads it goes and buys some of her beautiful jewellery immediately! Read on and find out why…

Much earlier this year, I ordered this beautiful petal ring from Beth’s shop.

On it’s way to me, it got snaffled by a (expletive withheld with great restraint) postal worker. Beth kindly re-sent the ring, but when this also went missing in the mail, I was ready to call it quits.

However, Beth pressed on, insisting on posting a third ring. I decided to tempt the Fates (and make it worth her while), so I ordered this beautiful petal pendant to match. Then I held my breath…
… letting it out this morning when I picked up a parcel from the post office, and found my long-awaited treasures inside the beautifully-wrapped box. I’m wearing the ring as I type this post. If I had lovely elegant fingers like Lena’s I’d have waited to take a pic before making this post, but I also wanted to waste no time in thanking Beth for all the effort, expense and energy that she put into getting my order safely here.Ok, time for one last look at some of the loveliness at ES Designs. Now off you go: it’s time to shop!

That’s awesome that she went to such lengths. That ring is beauuuutiful… I feel rather obliged to buy one myself…

No wonder you kept at it…they are amazing.
I recently had the same experience with an order of cards from an Etsy shop posted from just a few states away. When one didn’t appear, she sent a second. When that one didn’t show up either, I just felt too bad about her product going wasted. She gave me a refund, but I would have loved the cards. I’d like to order from her again, but I’m afraid to, you know? It’s somewhat of a mystery.

Oh, those are nice! I especially love that ring…and I feel your pain on the shipping. I’ve developed some serious issues with my backwoods redneck-staffed Post Office in the past month, but I won’t get started on that 😉

And, I noticed that you’re going to be part of the PoppyTalk Handmade Market next month too! I’m so excited to be doing it, mainly because I knew it would be a chance to be in some great company. It’s really cool to have my stuff sitting next to yours 🙂

I ordered from Elisabeth last month – a gift of gorgeous petal earrings for my best friend! They were a huge hit…

And I feel your pain… the number of things I’ve sent to my sister in Cape Town that have “mysteriously disappeared” en route to her place is appalling.

Beautiful! Organic but strict at the same time. So original.
