    Studio Show

    10 Dec 2007

    Studio show
On Saturday morning, Tessa Gawith and I set up our wares in her pottery studio in Muizenberg, and the crowds started pouring in. It was so busy, and we both sold a heap.

I’ve taken some pretty rubbish photos, of my work, but Tessa’s ceramics have come out well.

I was really pleased with my bunting which I made from teatowel seconds. I didn’t plan on selling it, but when an art director to whom I owe an illustration today expressed interest, I thought that maybe she’d be kinder to me if my illustration was late but I delivered her bunting at the same time. We’ll see…

And after having my portrait up on Design*Sponge’s SA designers guide, I reckon I’m brave enough to show my mug on Skinny laMinx for the first time.
