A little Christmas tree made of lino shavings is a neat way to round off a year where block printing has loomed large, what with our block print inspired Diggi Dot collection, two collections of block printed scarves, and another trip to Jaipur to teach (and learn) about this amazing way of creating pattern.
When I’ve been cutting lino, I always end up with a pile of shavings on my desk, and every now and again I turn them into something more interesting before I throw them away. It’s my last Making Friday post of the year, before I take a holiday, so I thought I’d do a roundup of these little sketches before we all collectively put 2015 in the bin and start carving out 2016 in just a few days.
Wishing you all a very wonderful, happy time relaxing with your families! I’ll be taking a little break too, and will see you back on this blog in mid January. Have a good one!
