Interaction of Colour: New Complete Edition

I got an Amazon email the other day letting me now that Josef Albers Interaction of Colour has been released in a new, complete edition. Two volumes, hardbound, published by Yale University Press. Deliciousness!

First issued in 1963 as a limited-edition set of 150 silkscreened colour plates, Interaction of Colour has been one of the most influential books on colour ever published. But when I tried to find images of the new edition online, I really battled… until I realised that I’d been looking at them all along. Guys, the pic above is the special edition cover of the most influential book on colour ever published! I don’t mean to be horrible, and I’ve no doubt that the interior pages make up for it in spades, but I’m thinking ‘missed opportunity’ here.

So, to make up for it, I put together a selection of other covers of the book, published in Finnish, Japanese, French, Spanish, Swedish, Italian, Norwegian, Hungarian and Chinese,many of which are still in print.
