See a penny, pick it up and all day long, you’ll have good luck…

    27 May 2007

See this? Nothing special, right? Just an ordinary, rather scuffed 5c piece?

    Wrong…

It’s the “penny” I found at my car door when dropping off the laundry on Thursday. I picked it up, and all weekend long, boy, did I have good luck.
    In no particular order:
First bit of luck: I sold Every Last Bit of artwork that I had for sale. That’s nine works. To three different buyers. Unsolicited. Yikes!
Second, my Willow cushion cover appeared on the front page of Etsy (thanks, Sam of Homegrown Skinny for letting me know!)
Third, Jesse, Liesel and I had a brilliant day at the Neighbour Goods Market on Saturday. It was a sight to see Jesse’s fingerless gloves were doing that proverbial hotcakes thing!
Fourth, I made 7 sales in my Etsy shop (including the Willow cushion cover) in one day! An all time Skinny laMinx record!
Last, but not least, the interview Helen did with me was posted on Indie/Pretty/Perfect (see more in the post below this one).
Have you ever? I’m keeping this little penny with me permanently, I reckon.

Bob, that penny’s not for sale, but you can come hang out with me (stick to my left side, where it’s in my pocket) and maybe some luck will brush off on you.
