Fortuna stacking vase

The design of the Fortuna vase is an homage to the midcentury dressed stone facade of Fortuna Apartments at 97 Beach Road on the Sea Point Promenade in Cape Town.

This is the second version of this vase design – now in terracotta.

The faceted surfaces catch the light, and when stacked in multiples, the effect of the original Fortuna facade is created. The inside is glazed and can hold water.

This ceramic vase was designed by Heather Moore of Skinny laMinx, and developed with the technical know-how of Cape Town ceramicist Colin Braye of Vorster & Braye.

Each vase is boxed in a nest of shredded paper and is packaged in risograph-printed paper printed with the Fortuna design and story. For shipping, the smaller box will be placed inside a larger box, also filled with shredded paper.

NB: Skinny laMinx has taken every caution to pack and ship to avoid damage, and cannot be held responsible for in-transit breakage.

Ceramic will break under pressure or when given a blow.
