    O.live and Moyo

    18 Oct 2007

Nope, the title of this post is not a description of the contents of my lunchbox, these are the names of local shops that have recently started stocking Skinny laMinx teatowels. First up, the fabulously glam O.live, which has just opened a new store down at the newly revitalised bottom end of Kloof Street. O.live has taken some of my more restrained colours.Don’t they look nice here?
And last week, my studio turned into a bit of a factory as I packaged up a large order into three boxes for the Moyo stores in Stellenbosch, Johannesburg and Durban.

It’s funny – I feel like I’ve done things backwards: starting out by supplying far-off stores like Threepotatofour before approaching shops in my own neighbourhood. But although it’s taken a while and a roundabout route, I’m thrilled to finally be going local!

This is great news….*S* I hope you get a big mark-up.

I’m beginning to see an idea of a Skinny laMinx wall covered with teatowels here in my apartment.

Well, not like wallpaper – but stretched on a frame…..

Wow, congrats on being stocked! I love O.live, though I only knew the little shop they had in Muizenberg. They always had (and I imagine still have) an intriguing mix of hot design items and eccentric objects. I could see your tea towels fitting in perfectly. -X

      Hi.

Found you on Etsy. I’m an S.A. lurker in the stores and the forums and I found you by doing a geolocate šŸ˜‰

You have wonderful prints and whimsical products.

I think funky kitchen curtains are all that’s missing from your fabulous product line. heh heh.

best of luck with your etsy store & all the business wheeling and dealing you can lay your indie artist hands on. šŸ™‚

Congratulations! Your designs are so beautiful. I would happily take that boxful in your picture to proudly display in my humble kitchen. Glad to hear your talent is getting some storefront exposure.
