    Naive book

    27 Aug 2009

4 Publications - NaiveI’m really thrilled to bits to have had some of my work included in Naive: Modernism and Folklore in Contemporary Graphic Design, published by Gestalten.

Seriously, folks, and I’m not just saying it cos I’ve got some of my cutouts in it, but this is a book worth having. It’s beeeoootiful! My pages are below, but do browse through it here to see the super-cool design inside, as well as the excellent layout throughout.

Ah, I’ve such great weekend ahead, starting with a Critical Mass bike ride first thing on Friday, which always pastes a huge smile on my face, then Making Friday all day, including lunch with my Ma, and then the market on Saturday, followed by a beachside birthday on Sunday. If this was someone else’s weekend, I’d be green with envy, but as it’s my own, I’ll be pink with self-satisfaction.

Hope yours makes you pink-ish too.

Congrats on having your work published in the book! I love stuff in the middle photo the best but that's probably mostly because I'm a botanist!

Just have to say how blown away I am, once agan, at the generous spirit of everyone who comments here. Despite my sounding so self-satisfied and smug, you all respond with such kind words. Thank you very much.

I bought this book about a month ago and love it, it's the kind of book I've been looking for for ages as it makes me feel right at home with this kind of style and in full admiration of all the wonderful stuff out there. Was very happy to see Missy Moore there too since I love your work, well done!
