My new shop

It’s been a crazy time, and I haven’t really managed to keep up with blogging. Soon after the launch last Tuesday, Paul and I zoomed off to KZN to spend some time with his dad, and all the files I thought I’d backed up onto my portable hard drive had somehow not come along with us.

ANYWAY, almost a full week later, I’ve managed to cadge them from here and there, and can share some lovely pics of my new shop. It’s difficult to think that not too long ago it was a greasy scooter repair shop, right? ( See ‘Before’ photos here).

I’m really happy to be selling a couple of pieces of vintage Danish furniture in my shop, courtesy of the wonderful Space for Life shop, down on the Foreshore. It all goes perfectly with everything else in my store. Keep popping in, as the plan is to keep changing pieces as we go.

The other major feature in my shop is the Skinny Shelf, which was developed especially for us by Cape Town design duo, Pedersen + Lennard, and launched in tandem with my new shop. The Skinny Shelf consists of a series of solid brass pegs, with steel shelves that slide on neatly, in a pleasing mix of gleam and matt black. Price on request.

Looking forward to welcoming visitors to 201 Bree Street soon! We’re open this week until Friday.
