    Rockster

    13 Jul 2006

For a while, I’ve been working at a range of designs that use San rock drawings as a starting point. Most of the time, these are used in a very kitsch way that attempts to preserve the feeling that the paintings are ancient artefacts. With my repeat designs, I’ve made patterns that are contemporary, using some of the most ancient drawing in the world.

I’m very pleased with the results. At the moment I’m getting some of these made up into melamine trays.
