Neighbour Goods Market
Hannah has sent me these photos of our first stall at the Neighbour Goods Market on Saturday. By all reports, the market went well. I couldn’t be there, poor me (I was languishing in Vermaaklikheid, surrounded by wild flowers, fields of wheat grass, paddling in the canoe, lying on the beach… sigh), but Jesse says it was fun, and they all learned heaps about how to approach it next time. I’m sure that the addition of a table and our clothes rack will go acres towards creating a more coherent, easy-to-browse stand.
This pic shows a selection of things on show, including Jesse’s knitted dolls, Hannah’s ceramics, and some of my silkscreened cushions.
We didn’t have a table or a clothes rack, but Jesse (pictured here) and the gals did a fine job with crates and clothespegs to make a plan. On the wall are some of my magnets, and Gabby’s Lux lights. Behind Jesse are Hannah’s embroidered T-shirts, and on the table, you can see Jenny’s crazy felt dolls, some of Hannah’s ceramics and Jesse and my badges. Pinned to the front, a couple of my baby silkscreened shirts. I’ll put up a proper post of these soon.
The view from our stall. The market has a strong focus on organic products, in particular food. So there’s organic wine, veggies, flowers, chocolate, coffee…. yummee!
