Oy, what a weekend. Loads of fun, with visiting mandolin player, Chris Clarke delighting us with his traditional American and bluegrass music on Friday (thanks for organising, Brendon!), a 40th birthday party on Saturday, a baby shower on Sunday…
… and then it suddenly occurred to me, in a brief moment of clarity in my otherwise rather woolly-headed condition on Sunday, that the Somerset Studio Show is to open on Thursday, not Friday.
This is not good news when your printer has printed all your teatowels in one colourway instead of three, the fabric wholesalers are sold our of the cotton you need to print on, and your CMT is drowning in a pre-Christmas stitching frenzy.
Nonetheless, I’m sure the cotton I finally found on Friday afternoon, and the CMT I stumbled upon just after, and my very red-faced printer will all come through and deliver by Thursday morning for me to roll up and package by the evening (pleeezz!).Above, the red version of the teatowels I’ll be selling at the Somerset Studio Show (see the invitation in Friday’s posting). And here…
…is a sample of one of the melamine trays I’ll have on show. That’s another thing. They’re being mailed down from Johannesburg. Will our postal service pull through? Lots of thumbs to be held.

Ack! What a nightmare! But – the towel is lovely, the tray is beautiful, and such goodness can only succeed. You will have everything done in time, I’m sure.
