I’ve recently discovered Emma’s Blogg – a very stylish Swedish design blog with her beautiful finds, written in both Swedish and English.

I’m very grateful to Emma for her kind words about the things I make. Tack så mycket!
I had a Swedish-themed weekend, actually, as my mom’s oldest friend Monica, who is Swedish, came round for lunch yesterday.
As a kid in the 1970’s, I found Monica’s house markedly different from the others, with its simple lines, plain food, bright woven mats, a loom in the spare bedroom, and a garden with wild grasses rather than trimmed lawn. Looking around our place now, the influence her home had on my taste is most apparent.
