New fabric – eep!
Why did I spend the whole weekend feeling like hugging myself? Well, on Friday I fetched my new screenprinted design from Toby, my wonderful printer, of course!
Ta-da! Soon to be cushion covers and teatowels in my Etsy shop!
I was reading about Lucienne Day recently, and how she didn’t have her textile designs in her own home, because she’d overanalyse them, noticing their faults out of the corner of her eye while doing the crossword puzzle.
Apart the crossword puzzles part (which I made up anyway), I can quite relate to Mrs Day. I’m usually pretty aware of what I don’t like about the things I’ve made, but this design, while I’m sure it’s far from perfect, I’m just in love! So it’s living with us already.

I quite like the low lighting on those photographs. Great design that is.

The design is wonderful. Do you ever think you will sell your fabric?

Georgeous print. Will be keeping an eye on your shop for tea towels! I am a perfectionist when it comes to things I have made. My friends and family think it’s great because I refuse to sell the things that I am not 100% happy with so when they visit I am always giving away goodies.

i really love this print heather.

Thanks for all the kind words, guys! Belinda: Yes, I’ll certainly be trying to sell this fabric – I should have some of it in my Etsy shop by the end of the week. Lots of hemming to do first though….
