You’re so nice, Mrs Dragon
This blog thing has been great. It’s brilliant for getting word out and terrific for meeting people with similar interests.
But the thing I never expected when I started blogging was the incredible amount of kindness and generosity it often seems to inspire from people.
For instance, the Fat Cyclist’s wife is battling cancer, so perfect strangers (readers of his blog) take the time to write cards and put mix CDs together for her, and similar loving kindness is shown at Sweet/Salty, as readers send support to the author as she watches the progress of her premature twin boys.
Maybe I’m just a grouch about human nature, but when I see these anonymous gestures of care, I feel a lot better about being a polluting, swearing, rotton ol’ human being, because I can see there seems to be a flip side to all that.
And here’s the latest blogging kindness shown to me, this time by Amanda from Mrs Dragon . Every Sunday, Amanda posts something on her blog, Mrs Dragon’s wares, about an Etsy seller who has caught her eye .
This Sunday, Mrs Dragon’s spotlight fell on Skinny laMinx! Being in a dragon’s spotlight could be scary, but really, her generous words about my work just made me blush.
Thanks, Amanda! Much, much appreciated. Read what she says over here, and check out her beautiful handcrafted cards (as in the photo above) in Mrs Dragon’s Etsy shop here!
