Grondboontjebottersmeer campaign
Deep underground Dutch design collective, Grondboontjebottersmeer have designed a bridge for the technology/craft divide in the music industry.
HeukelOor inserts the homespun, hands-on woolliness of crochet work between your ears and the globalized big business mechanisms of the music industry that bring music into that intimate space between them. A miniature (washable) version for in-ear ‘phones is currently in production. 
Actually, none of this is true.
Somebody at work nicked the foam from my headphones and as my suspicious glares did not result in the hoped-for chain reaction of guilty conscience, remorse and atonement, a plan had to be made. Orange cotton and a crochet needle provided a cosy, if hideous solution to my listening comfort, and I reckon there’s little risk of thieving mitts landing on these.
