Spotted in H&L
I loved the cover of the October House and Leisure magazine. The inside of the mag is good too.
I was delighted to see a feature on the lovely Cape Town apartment of our friends, Chris and Robyn, and even more thrilled to spot some of my artwork on their walls.
Here’s the entrance hall.
Just to the left of the jug, you can see two of my little silhouette portraits of Paul, well-placed right next to one of his sculptures (and rather flatteringly, hung alongside photos by Terry Kurgan.)
There’s more in the bedroom.
The little blue pic just next to the bedside lamp is one of the Dandelion paintings on wood that I showed at the Drawing Room 3 show last year. See a clearer version and the rest of these paintings here. It really is a thrill to see people living with my work!

Very nice to see the work ‘in use’. And, ooh, is that knitting I spy on the bed there?

Cool!
You see the fabric used for the pillows on the bed – that’s the exact same fabric as I’ve used to make the curtains in my living room (the room where my Skinny LaMinx cushions live). It’s cool to see similarities like that in a home in Cape Town when I’m here in Dublin! Looking forward to seeing those new Orla colourways by the way Heather…

How ’bout that, Zee! Maybe that fabric has some kind of skinny attractor?
And yes, the Orla is on its way… although next week is looking more likely. Yikes!

both the artwork and apartment look really lovely. you should show more of your paintings, I’m intrigued to know more about the dandelion image.

Heather, what wonderful work you do. My sister Jessica emailed about things to do in Cape Town and we had a wonderful weekend, thanks for your suggestions! Your work is exquisite. I’d love to ask more about your art work. I’m looking for something splendid to take home when we finish our months in South Africa! I’m coming back to Cape Town this December with my husband and children, maybe we can see your things then…
