Springy market
On Saturday, Jesse and I were selling our wares at the new extension of the Neighbourgoods Market. It worked a treat: no more food queues blocking our stall. Yay!
Those clever What if the World boys created a glorious Spring vibe by filling the place with branches of cherry blossoms. My teatowels have not been a big market hit in the past, but a new display mysteriously resulted in lots of sales.
And Jesse’s beautiful hand-printed bags were much admired. They’re also for sale in her Etsy shop!
See more market pics here.

Hi, Love your stuff and your friends bags are just great! I just did a market on Sunday and realize how important display set up is. Your tea towel set up looks great, it’s visually quite striking. (Been quietly following your blog.)

Very Beautiful!! Congratulations. I hope you can stop by the shiny squirrel and see the products.
Didn’t Gary do a fantastic job? he is amazing!

Happy March
I just saw you featured on the urban outfitter’s craft blog! (http://blog.urbanoutfitters.com/blog/category/Craft/)
I’m sure you know, but I was excited that I stumbled across it all by myself.

Hi,
Nice tea towels. What’s the fabric, is it cotton.
Hand printed bags – again what material is it? Have you tried jute bags? Also does the dye run color?

Thanks for the positive feedback, Laura and Jessica, and for the headsup about UO, HappyMarch!
Sam: My teatowels are printed on a nice soft cotton weave called hopsack. very absorbant and perfect for drying the dishes. I’m not sure what Jesse has printed on or how the dye works. Perhaps you should visit her blog at jezzeblog.blogspot.com and ask her.
Cheers,
Heather

The market looks like so much fun. It will definitely be on my “to visit” list when I next go to Cape Town! It reminds me of the Borough Market in London – a memorable experience with a GOOD coffee shop over the road!

I came across you from Sam’s blog. 🙂 (homegrownskinny) Your designs are awesome! I’m debating buying one of you monster shirts for the little boy I nanny, but I think I’d flip if he got it all stained, as he does all his other shirts, lol. Great stuff though! I’m glad I found you. 😀

Thanks, guys! I’m looking forward to meeting blog friends at the market one day soon!
Janine, we are only there once a month, on the last Saturday of the month. That way it’s more fun.
