Ouno
Ouno
This amazing bedspread made from vintage scarves (including some by Vera) is by Ouno Design and is for sale both on their website and in the Ouno Etsy shop.
Lots of Ouno’s recycled and upcycled things are very interesting. There’s also some fur stuff that kind of scares the vegetarian me, although I’m sure our cats would lurve it!
ps: I’ve had this post mouldering away in my drafts folder for ages, but when I spotted Ouno on Style Files yesterday, I thought I’d finally give it wings.

I love that bedspread. Can’t remember where I saw it first, but I’d love to do something similar for some floaty summer curtains. I’ve been checking charity shops for pretty vintage scarves, but haven’t been having much luck so far!

Oh my goodness! That is fantastic. I have collected Vera scarves for years now. Last I counted, I was up to the 300 mark. A little obsessive, I know 🙂
Anyway, they are stashed in separate little baggies tucked in a huge basket. I have for the longest time been trying to figure out what else to do with them other than tearing into them every once in a while to try and find the perfect accessory for the day. Thanks to your post, I will have a use for at least a few!

Ohhh – all those lovely vintage scarves. I have a very small collection myself, but probably only enough to make a pillow cover!
