Shortcuts to Elegance
Shortcuts to Elegance
Apologies if this post over-promises somewhat. I have no actual shortcuts to elegance to share (except, perhaps, to recommend a silk scarf tied just so at the neck?), and it’s just the name of a book I picked up at Milnerton Market with an illustration style to which I aspire.
PS: One tip I do have to share is to keep a close eye on my shop next week. I’m planning a budget-busting special on shipping! It’ll take me some time to set up, but should the urge to shop at Skinny laMinx over the weekend strike, you’ll get a pleasant surprise on that front too.

I can see why you bought it.

You deserve a bit of a rest, I think! I picked up some of your tea towels, pencil cases and transfers at KamersVolGeskenke today – what a treat! (It was going to be difficult to give them all away as presents, so I got one of each for myself too!)

This is part of a set of Time-Life Books on all aspects of sewing. It’s a really wonderful resource. I managed to put whole set together from thrift stores. There are 10 or 12 volumes altogether, on everything from fabrics to tailoring to sportswear and lingerie.

Thanks for buying my things! And thanks Ingrid for letting me know about the series. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the others!

I have 2 of those books on my L&G shop! I have the series, too and had couple duplicates. The illustrations, photos, and instructions are absolutely fantastic.
let me know if you'd like them, maybe we can trade??
